After winning three out of their last four games, the Western Bulldogs are fired up and ready to take on Hawthorn at Marvel Stadium tomorrow.

Hawthorn will be out to redeem themselves after a nail-biting three-point loss to Adelaide last week.

The sons of the west will be looking to take home the four points in Marcus Bontempelli’s 200th game as the side welcomes back Bailey Smith from a calf injury.

This inclusion will help make up for the loss of Tom Liberatore (concussion), while Toby McLean was omitted.

Bulldogs’ coach, Luke Beveridge said the Hawks would be another big challenge for his side.

“Hawthorn’s best this year has tested a number of sides so (we are) preparing for a team that can run,” he said.

“The team is pretty stable other than missing Tom (Liberatore) this week, obviously we haven’t made many changes and I think we are gaining some momentum.”

Bontempelli is having a stellar season and is coming off one of the greatest games of his career, a performance the skipper will hope to replicate.

Beveridge compared his captain to an Anthony Koutoufides type player in the role he plays for the side, labelling him as an “exceptional human being”.

“He’s an absolute professional and he works extremely hard on himself and his capabilities, and his capacity in what he can do as a player,” he said.

Beveridge identified former Bulldog, Fergus Greene as a player that would need to be nullified considering his impressive recent form.

“I’ve been impressed with what he’s doing, he’s not overly tall but he’s long in the air, he’s got long arms, he can run and he’s a dead-eye with his finish,” he said.
