About Us
Here is a bit about each of our writers, their passions and some of their prior experience in the fields of sports media and journalism.

BLAIR BURNS, 22
My name is Blair Burns and I am in my final year of study at La Trobe University in Melbourne, pursuing a Bachelor of Media and Communication, majoring in Sports Media and Journalism. I am a twin brother to Connor and grew up in a small country town called Hamilton which is almost four hours south-west of Melbourne.

I have extensive involvement in the journalism and media fields starting with work experience at my local paper, The Hamilton Spectator in the areas of journalism and photography. I then worked as a journalist in both general news and sports news for 14 months in my gap year during 2021 before moving to live in Melbourne. I have returned to work as sports editor three times each year in my break from university studies. A highlight was receiving a commendation from the Rural Press Club Victoria (RPCV).
I am a host of the Back Pocket Banter podcast which you can find on all listening platforms, Connor and I have produced 85 episodes since 2020 with guests such as Brett Lee, Sam Mitchell and Leon Davis joining us. In the past, I have also ran my own photography business, created graphics for my podcast, edited raw footage for YouTube. I have also done media work with Harrow-Balmoral Football Club, Sandringham Sabres NBL1 and the 'Dos and D' podcast.
I love sport and have played footy, tennis, basketball and cricket over time. I am a mad Richmond supporter, love Steph Curry and follow the Melbourne Renegades in the BBL.
